Question of the Week 12/14/19

Q: When is the best time to cut back Hostas and how low should they be cut?

A: Hosta leaves will turn yellow in the fall, then begin to fade and wilt to the ground. Once this happens, feel free to cut the Hostas about an inch above the ground. Hostas will regenerate from the roots every year but you want to leave an inch; that way you know where your Hosta is so you can water it during the winter!
