Plant of the Week 05/15/2020
Nannyberry Viburnum Viburnum lentago Zone 3-8
A nice looking shrub that can grow the height of a tree. Blooms stunning creamy-white flowers in the spring, which turn into blue clusters of berries that are enjoyed by birds and are edible to humans. This plant self-pollinates so there is no need for another nannyberry of the opposite gender in the same area.
Leaves turn beautiful maroon in the fall. Plant in partial to full sun and water regularly for best growth. A moderate grower that can reach 16' tall and 12' wide. Prune in late winter to promote new growth in the spring.
