Plant of the Week: Ironwood

Ironwood Holodiscus discolor Zone 5-9

The textured/wrinkled foliage on this shrub will add nice character to your yard before it even blooms! This moderate grower can reach 15' tall and wide, so make sure you have the room for it!

Blooms creamy white, cascading clusters of fuzzy flowers in spring and summer that add a weeping look to the shrub. Blooms have a sweet fragrance. Does best when planted in shade to part shade. Water regularly until established. Easy to care for.
