Question of the Week: Bird Seeds

Q: I put bird seeds in my bird feeder and now I have a bunch of weeds growing below it. Is there any way to prevent this?

A: The easiest way to prevent this is to buy sterile bird seeds. This will not germinate or minimally germinate. Otherwise, you will have to continually pull the weeds.
