Question of the Week: Debris
Q: I have a huge juniper hedge that has a ton of trash and debris under it. I worry it is a fire hazard. Is there any way to clean it out?
A: Although it is extremely difficult to remove absolutely all the debris, it is possible to get most of it. By using a blower, a rake, and reaching in there with your hands (make sure you use gloves) you can remove a large amount of the debris. We would also recommend possibly trimming up the bottom of the juniper a few inches so it will be easier to get under it.
