Question of the Week: How to water heavy vegetation areas

Q: Is it better to use micro sprayers or driplines for heavily vegetated areas?

A: The suitability of micro sprayers will largely depend on the location. In areas with high wind and/or significant variation in plant height, water pressure may not be sufficient for these types of sprinklers.

On the other hand, if the area has numerous plants or if you prefer a simple installation, micro sprayers may be the ideal choice. However, it's important to note that drip lines provide precise water delivery to each plant's root base, whereas micro sprayers emit the amount of water specified on the device. Factors such as wind, plant height, and other variables can cause uneven water distribution, resulting in some plants receiving more water than others.
