Transformation Tuesday: A Backyard Transformation!
Our client was ready for a radical change. Their once-lush backyard had seen better days, with bark missing and a torn weed barrier peeking through. They wanted everything redone, including the fence—and we were up for the challenge!
We started by removing everything except the Apache Plume on the right. We also designed a layout that split the yard lengthwise, creating a sense of spaciousness and a clear divide between the garden and the new hardscape area. A fresh coyote fence now frames the space, offering a refreshing new look.
We installed a square flagstone patio in the corner with a pathway for easy access. We planted various colorful and textured plants like Rocky Mountain Penstemon, Salvia, Coneflowers, Smokebush, Cotoneaster, and Mugo Pine to bring the space to life. A Flowering Plum tree was added to provide shade over the patio, creating a perfect spot to relax.
We also installed a dry river bed to channel water away from the house (more on that in next week's post). For the finishing touches, we spread Pueblo Rose gravel on one side of the metal edging and SF Brown on the other.
This transformation was no small feat, but the results were absolutely worth it. Our client was amazed at the transformation—and so were we!
