This week’s Transformation Tuesday features a side yard turned sanctuary.

What was once a bare, uneven stretch of dirt and gravel is now a peaceful walkway framed by fresh sod, native plantings, and carefully laid stone pavers. The garden bed along the wall was brought to life with pollinator-friendly perennials including catmint, yarrow, coneflower, and prostrate germander—chosen for both their beauty and drought tolerance in the Santa Fe climate. An existing rose bush was trimmed and reshaped to complement the new design, adding continuity and seasonal blooms.

From neglected to inviting, this space is now a seamless extension of the patio—perfect for a morning stroll, evening unwind, or simply enjoying the view.
