Question of the Week 08/01/2020

August 1, 2020

Q: I live in Eldorado and there is an area in my backyard that tunnels the wind into a strong gust that breaks and snaps my agastache plants. What can I do to fix this?

A: There are a couple of options that can fix this.

1. A fence can be placed to help divert the wind and protect the plants.

2. Plant some large shrubs or trees to act as a wind break. Plants such as bamboo, pampas grass, pine trees and junipers and arborvitaes are all great choices!

Either option will make a huge difference and help prevent the breaks and snaps.
